We are in need of diverse Board Members who love children and literacy. If you are a teacher or work with youth in any capacity, we need your energy and experience! We are growing rapidly and need people with can-do attitudes who like to get stuff done with smiles on their faces. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Mission Statement
Bookmobile Babe is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to promote the love of literacy to underserved populations in the Portland, Oregon metro area.
Description
A small group of book lovers and teachers got together in 2018 once we learned that the Multnomah County Library had lost its funding for a bookmobile. We then decided to start our own! We began doing book exchanges with kids so that they get our books and we get theirs! We offer a free summer reading camp to kids ages 0-18 at Lents Park, Columbia and Gateway Discovery parks every summer in partnership with PPR's Free Lunch + Play Program. We believe in offering free literature that expresses diversity in all forms. We support authors and readers of all ages, colors, cultures, backgrounds, and abilities.Bookmobile Babe has also distributed around 2000 free books each year to children for the past 6 years.
