Are you interested in supporting a child’s literacy skills? Coaching them through elementary school and beyond?
Wright to Read has been serving Alexandria’s children for over 40 years by providing one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to ACPS students in need of additional help. We are looking for caring adults who have a passion for youth development, can commit to at least one hour/week for at least a year, and would be able to meet with their students after school or on the weekends at a public library. In 2023 we are also piloting an after-school program at ACPS sites. If you are interested in learning more about Wright to Read and our volunteer opportunities, please join us on Tuesday, February 7 at 6:00p.m. for our virtual Volunteer Info Night on Zoom.
