Build a relationship with a child or sibling group, identify their needs, and give them a voice in a process that can otherwise feel lonely.
No prior child welfare experience is necessary. Thorough training is provided. Training occurs in-person near Fox River Mall in Appleton, and the hours are set. Once trained, you serve when it suits your schedule.

Description
CASA of the Fox Cities, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, is dedicated to training volunteers who are assigned by judges to monitor children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers meet with these children regularly and provide reports to the court. Judges use those reports to determine what is in the best interest of these vulnerable children.

- Orientation or Training
- After training, advocates can expect to spend 4-10 hours per month ensuring that the child(ren) they advocate for are safe, their needs are met, and their voices are heard.
- Interested advocates attend an information session, and complete an application and interview before embarking on 30 hours of eye-opening training, held in-person near Fox River Mall. Background checks completed at CASA's expense.
