Community Hospice Seeks Evening/Weekend Volunteers- Orientation April 15, 2023

Community Hospice will host a new volunteer orientation for persons interested in working evening and weekend shifts at the Care Center front desk as a greeter/receptionist. Volunteer orientation will take place Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 9am-noon. This orientation is only for those interested in working at the front desk. Persons interested in visiting with patients should not attend this session. An RSVP to attend this training is required.

Volunteers determine when and how often they are available to assist - a few hours a week or just occasionally. All volunteers must complete the required training to be certified. The CDC guidelines require COVID-19 vaccination for all health care volunteers.

Community Hospice has nearly 200 active volunteers in their nine county service area - Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Lawrence, Elliott, Martin and Johnson counties in Kentucky, along with Lawrence and Scioto counties in Ohio.
