Project Name: Medicinal Foods

Project Duration: 6-12 months (Ongoing)


Project outline:

Use citizen science to gather and validate data about the different foods and food-preparations from both traditional knowledge and current scientific enquiry.

To make such data available for use by anyone in the world through online apps.


Role Summary: Able to analyze and provide solutions to problems which involve native American medicine


Essential Tasks:

Obtains complete and accurate information in a courteous and respectful manner in order to determine an appropriate treatment plan.

Identifies appropriate courses of action that reflect the customer-owner’s values, beliefs and health goals.

Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns and feedback in a supportive manner.

Works collaboratively by building bridges and creating rapport with team members within departments and across the organization.

Communicates effectively and in a manner that enhances customer relationships, builds relationships with staff and contributes to a supportive work environment:

Provides clear and concise verbal and written instructions to customer-owners and ensures understanding by listening and asking for feedback.

Writes clinical documentation that is complete, concise and legible in order to provide adequate information for other health care providers and staff.


Skills & Competencies:

Standardizes systems and processes used in the evaluation and treatment of pain such as the use of intake documents, screening tools, diagnostics such as labs and imaging, medications, therapies and surgeries where medical approaches to treatment limit redundancy and provide consistency throughout the system.

Self-starter with ability to execute on business objectives

Ability to foster innovation among team members and drive best practices

Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
