The Development & Fundraising Volunteer will work closely with the Development Specialist to support the Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania donor knowledge base, stewardship of key donors, prospect research, support on special projects, and day to day administration, including but not limited to: management of funding opportunities, proposal tracking, and proposal development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Administration/Donor Relations: Support team in managing fundraising work internal to the organization as well as special projects. This includes donor stewardship and acknowledgements, tracking donations in our CRM database, generating tax letters, etc.
- Research. Conduct short- and long-term research including donor/prospect research, strategies, collectives, trends, etc.
- Fundraising. Support the development team in preparing fundraising materials and grant proposals/reports; using our systems to assist with donor management and achieving fundraising goals.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a larger, collaborative team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with data management systems and the ability to track and analyze data
- Familiarity and experience with fundraising, database management, and grant writing is a plus
- Criminal background check, FBI and child abuse clearances required.
POSITION STRUCTURE AND COMPENSATION:
- The standard schedule for this position is part-time, with a commitment of 10 - 15 hours weekly
- Schedule can be flexible with priority given to any necessary team meetings.
- This is a fully remote position.
