We are looking for a competent Assistant Director to support the director in initiative planning, managing, and monitoring progress. You will also be working to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

We are seeking a leader who is a critical thinker, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles. Your goal is to help the department attain objectives of productivity and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department
  • Work with the Executive Director to coordinate and supervise daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Monitor attainment of objectives
  • Undertake staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, evaluating, etc.)
  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses
  • Maintain scheduling of events and represent the company when needed
  • Create reports and submit them to the director or other executives
  • Fulfill duties as assigned by the director

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

People Management

  • Building strong positive communication with the staff as a team to enhance the success of the practice
  • Ensuring staff maintains professionalism at all times, coaching, managing, disciplining, and developing the staff when the executive director is not present

Business and User Management

  • Maintaining user confidentiality in accordance with policy and procedure as well as HIPAA and other federal requirements
  • Interacting with users in a courteous and respectful manner, resolving disputes, and reviewing satisfaction evaluations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position
  • 1-3 years of managing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel/ Restaurant Management, Business, or other applicable degree preferred (will consider relevant management experience in lieu of degree)
  • Happy and positive thinking, able to project this attitude around others
  • Must exhibit a passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills are a must
  • Outstanding communication and public speaking skills
  • Able to handle group dynamics (help bring unity to a diverse group)
  • Able to troubleshoot when necessary
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and takes a proactive approach to business operations
  • Experience in performance and operations management
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Proficient in MS Office, relational databases, and software (e.g. ERP)
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus, but not required at this time
