Small acts can have big impact! Be the light in someone's darkness by serving as a hospice volunteer! Volunteers are needed to support patients and their families at end of life; to read, play games, listen to their stories, give caregivers a much needed break, and simply accompany families through the most difficult of times.
You will not be alone! We provide initial training, which is a combination of online (for your convenience) and in person. We also offer ongoing support and training to help you bring your best to each visit.
Lakeview Hospice serves patients wherever they call home: in their house, townhouse, condo or apartment, or even in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility. Our geographic area includes Washington County in MN, and Western WI in Polk and St Croix counties. You can choose to serve where you are most comfortable.
We provide the tools, you just need to bring your wonderful self, a compassionate presence, and the gifts you have to offer! You will be amazed at what a completely rewarding experience it is to serve as a hospice volunteer!

Mission Statement
Caring for our neighbors at home.
Description
The goal of Lakeview Hospice is to provide the highest quality of care to the terminally ill and their families. Lakeview Hospice's approach addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and their loved ones. This is accomplished through care that is physician-guided and family-oriented. Hospice care fosters patient autonomy, choice and control over your plan of care. Patients and families are provided with all possible information, so that they can maintain control over their lives for as long as possible. Hospice works to enable patients to continue and alert, pain-free life, and manage other symptoms, so that their remaining days may be spent with dignity and quality. Lakeview Hospice is a Standard of Care Beyond Compare - ranking high above the national average in the NRC Health CAHPS Hospice Survey and Medicare Hospice Compare!
