Boys Hope Girls Hope Young Leadership Board Mission
The mission of the Boys Hope Girls Hope Young Leadership Board specifically is to raise awareness of Boys Hope Girls Hope, to help gain and retain new Young Leadership Board members, to support and promote Boys Hope Girls Hope mission through a variety of educational, social and fundraising activities which will provide new audiences and financial support for Boys Hope Girls Hope, and to provide mentorship and assistance to the boys and girls in the program.
Boys Hope Girls Hope Young Leadership Board Requirements for Membership
Members of the Young Leadership Board are appointed on an annual basis for a two year renewable term. Appointments will take place once a year at the beginning of the Board year.
Requirements for Candidacy
· Ability to make time commitment to Young Leadership Board;
· Attend 75% of the meetings in person (unless job obligations require otherwise);
· Participation in the Young Leadership Board’s fundraising activities;
· Attend 75% of the activities planned with the girls in the Program;
· Add prospective names to the external mailing list and assist with their cultivation;
· Advertise and promote Boys Hope Girls Hope and the activities of the Young Leadership Board; and
· Make a $50.00 donation to the Boys Hope Girls Hope Young Leadership Board to support the Board’s overhead and activities with the girls.

Boys HopeGirls Hope helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college.
Description
Boys Hope Girls Hope provides a well-balanced, nurturing home and quality education through college for academically capable boys and girls. We serve children between the ages of 10-18 who are at risk due to poverty, neglect or harmful neighborhood conditions.
We give boys and girls a foundation for success by addressing their basic needs and providing enriching opportunities that build confidence and self-esteem. Our focus on academic achievement through college creates a strong foundation that builds a future of hope and opportunity for our girls. Our full-time house parents and other staff serve as role models by providing guidance, discipline and love, instilling values, and encouraging respect and compassion.
We provide two stable, family-like homes, each accommodating eight full-time residents, while also serving as a home base for several Girls Hope college students.
