The U.S. Forest Service is seeking motivated individuals to assist us with promoting river safety and cleanliness on the Tuolumne River in the Groveland District of the Stanislaus National Forest. The ideal river patrol volunteer is a person who loves rivers and rapids and is eager to participate in rafting/working on class 4 whitewater river for 2-3 days. Additionally, a candidate should be able to swim in swift water and be capable of doing manual labor including lifting rafts to load and unload raft trailer. River Patrol volunteers also assist with litter pick up to protect the natural resources in the area. Preferably looking for someone who is willing and able to obtain a govt license for trailering.
