ORGANIZATION: Mission Hospice (formerly Sun Tree Hospice)

  • 56 people are interested

Mission Hospice (formerly Sun Tree Hospice) is looking for compassionate individuals who are interested in spending time with end-of-life patients and giving respite to their caregivers. Volunteers provide needed companionship for our patients. Volunteers also provide much needed breaks to the caregivers - often family members- so they can run errands, go to appointments, or just recharge their own batteries. Hospice volunteers gain meaningful experiences that will enrich their lives. Their services provide comfort and succor to the patient and their family as they navigate the end-of-life process.

Volunteers give of their time, so whatever they are able to give can be flexible. And what a volunteer provides is truly unique to each situation. The need for volunteers fluctuates with the needs of our patients and their families.

Please contact me if becoming a hospice volunteer sounds like something you would like to do.
