CHAZON AFRICA is a non-governmental organization established in 2007 and registered by the NGOs board of Kenya. The organization’s overall objective is to improve the quality of life in Molo and the counties around it.

Chazon Africa focuses on PROTECTING, EDUCATING, and EMPOWERING.

We also give children from families below the poverty line an opportunity to go to school and empowering their families by engaging them with income-generating activities to help keep their children in school.

We recognise that the barriers to education are complex and interlinked, and our projects focus on a combination of education, child protection and livelihood support to address the social, economic and structural issues that underpin today’s education crisis.

Our three Strategic Key Areas are:

1. FAMILY EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL WELFARE (Agriculture, Chicken Farming, Bags weaving, Needy Children’s support, HIV / Aids, Women and Youths Development, Crediting schemes)
2. PROTECTION (children’s rescue center)
3. EDUCATION (Kindergarten, Primary (chazon children’s center), Secondary (sponsorship programs) and Adult Education)

WHAT WE DO

CHAZON AFRICA, Chazon children center

Chazon Africa has a Chazon children Center education program in molo whose main aim is to give children below the poverty line an opportunity to go to school, get education and become responsible members to the society, furthermore be able to help their families in the future.

chazon children center program is designed as a hive model to put together and mobilizes different aspects of the community and partners to help educate and protect the children from facing adversity. Through education, we are able to prevents the children from ending up in the street, this changes their lives for the better forever.

The Chazon children center hive model is made up of dynamic networks of people and services that ensure no vulnerable child is overlooked.

The hive model is co-created with members of the local community, the local government, the child protection officers, the Kenya red cross, social development officers and most importantly the financial and mentorshipPartners, they all ensure the model meets the specific needs for every child in chazon children center.

The networks in chazon children center hive model facilitate holistic interventions in children’s lives, taking this child from a place of vulnerability to empowerment. With your help, we can reach hundreds more children and educate them with our school Hive model.

Our Chazon Africa education program beneficiaries are the

-OVC (orphans and venerable children),

-Young girls and

-Children from the low income families.

Our pool of beneficiaries is reached through different channels. With the help of our partners, they have made it possible to reach as many children as possible from the very poor families in the community that need our help.

Our beneficiaries are referred to us/brought to us by:

-Parents

-The local community

-The local government

-Children’s protection office

-The Kenya red cross

-Social welfare services officers

All our beneficiaries have been reached since inception of the Chazon Africa education program. Over the 12 years hundreds of children have passed through the program and have transitioned to secondary school and university, we also proved secondary education sponsorship and later university sponsorship.
