Broadway Festivals, Inc. ("BFI") is a non -profit corporation whose purpose is to organize, conduct and finance downtown celebrations to focus attention on the historical significance and overall importance of the central core of Lubbock, Texas.

BFI’s events are open to the public and have an estimated 80,000 attendance from Lubbock and the surrounding communities. Through this event, Broadway Festivals Inc. provides the citizens of Lubbock and the surrounding communities with a unique opportunity each year to come together and celebrate America’s Independence. Through its events BFI strives to offer entertainment for everyone and to showcase the unique culture that makes Lubbock an exceptional place to live. 4th on Broadway is also considered the "Largest Free Festival in State of Texas."

Broadway Festivals, Inc. respectfully requests volunteer support for the 32nd Annual 4th On Broadway Celebration which will be held on July 1-4, 2022. Volunteers will be used for beverage sales in Coca- Cola trailers, parking lot attendants, and assistance in the volunteer center. To enhance the quality of life and embrace the unique history, heritage and culture of Lubbock and the West Texas region by promoting arts, entertainment and tourism while contributing to the area's economic vitality. Broadway Festivals, Inc. ("BFI") is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to create and conduct Lubbock celebrations. BFI sponsored the 4th on Broadway Celebration in 1991 which continues annually. BFI presented the Buddy Holly Music Festival, the Lubbock Music Festival and other notable Lubbock festivals since its founding in 1991. The 4th on Broadway @ Mackenzie has been recognized as the Largest Free Festival in Texas.

Description

The 32nd Annual 4th on Broadway Celebration will be held on July 1-4, 2022 in Mackenzie Park and Cooks Garage. This signature event showcases the region's cultural richness to the greater Lubbock trade area spanning a 200-mile radius including portions of eastern New Mexico and western Oklahoma.

The 2022 event will build on its tradition of displaying exceptional artistry by once again showcasing local and regional performers in a multiple-day event attracting in excess of 80,000 people. As in year past, the free event will include a street dance featuring Texas Country artists, a street dance for the Hispanic community featuring Tejano artists, a parade with over 100 floats, a picnic in the park, a massive kid's area with something for everyone, and an evening concert and a massive fireworks extravaganza.

The 4th on Broadway, also known as the "Largest Free Festival in Texas", is free for the entire community. With new sponsorship support, Broadway Festivals can continue to provide this event to the region while supporting outdoor family fun, arts, and tourism.
