Cascade Head Preserve is a coastal promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean that provides habitat for native prairie grasses, rare wildflowers, and the Threatened Oregon Silverspot Butterfly. You can read more about this preserve online. Enjoy your visit and thank you for helping to protect this special place!
What are we doing, exactly? Volunteers will perform trail work. The work includes a four to five-mile roundtrip hike with elevation gain and may require volunteers to hike off trail and stand on uneven ground while working. Come prepared for strenuous work, including digging on steep hillsides. Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support are strongly recommended.
