Research, draft, and submit proposals that will help Fortitude receive grant funding. Fortitude is focused on helping young adults who have been sidelined by Covid or who have early life challenges, who need a little extra help getting traction into the trade fields or to advance on to higher education.

We have completed several grants already and have examples of our responses.

About Fortitude Careers

Location:

425A Oak Ave, Redwood City, CA 94061, US

Mission Statement

Fortitude is a comprehensive youth and community development program that addresses several core community issues: job readiness, employment, mental health challenges, diminishing crime and poverty, and individual leadership development. It addresses the status of unemployed youth who have no clear path to a productive future to support their lives, families, and contribute to their communities

Description

Fortitude is a program in service to the community, in which young people learn the skills to build a career in the construction field, and have the opportunity to develop those skills by building "ADU’s" (accessory dwelling units or tiny houses). The ADU’s will be offered to municipalities (in accordance with established regulations,) to be used as housing for those experiencing homelessness and other low-income people, often serving beneficiaries from the types of communities where the participants themselves have grown up.
