Home Repairman Handy Man/ Woman to Volunteers for Hospice patients in Marshall County

Thank you for considering volunteering with Enhabit (formerly Encompass) Health - Hospice! We are looking for volunteers to assist hospice patients at their homes in Marshall County, help with small household tasks, and repairs.

We need volunteers who are experienced in any of the following: construction, electrical, home repairs, heating & air conditioning, carpentry, appliance repairs, plumbing, painting, and janitorial maintenance. By being there, you will also give patients support through socialization and companionship.

Requirements

Volunteers are welcome to provide assistance during the day, after hours, or on weekends. Volunteer commitment is flexible to volunteer’s schedule.

We provide free training for all of our volunteers.

To ensure that our volunteers are equipped for the challenge of hospice, to maintain safety of our patients, as well as the volunteer they are required to complete the application and orientation processes. Which include background screenings, a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination. A 2-step TB skin test is required and will be provided by Encompass. Volunteers must have reliable transportation, must be dependable, and have the ability to complete written documentation.

Jr. volunteers ages 14-18 may volunteer as long as they are accompanied and supervised by an adult volunteer.
