Image_202205170924

Volunteer mediators are needed to assist the local court system with influx of cases as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteer mediators would receive free basic mediation training. This training will allow them to assist Pottawatomie County District Court with Small Claims cases (including landlord/tenant cases).

Parties are encouraged by the Judges to use this free service as a way to settle their issues prior to having a full hearing.

Dockets are typically every Wednesday morning. Volunteers are able to participate as frequently as they wish!

In order to maintain state certification, you only have to volunteer 20 hours per year!
