Join the team at the Volunteer Referral Center (VRC)! Become an interviewer! Recruit and refer potential volunteers to non-profit agencies that need them. Do good and acquire valuable skills all at the same time * Hone your interviewing skills: Recruiting and interviewing are the keystones of executive, management, or human resources positions. You must have strong people skills and be able to build a great team to be successful in any industry. * Learn about Non-Profits: In order to suggest good matches between volunteers and non-profit agencies, you will have to familiarize yourself with over 250 non-profit agencies and resources in the NYC area. This knowledge and the contacts you make can be very helpful if you are looking towards a non-profit career. * Meet fascinating people: People from all walks of life want to volunteer, interviewing them and guiding them to a good match is both interesting and rewarding.
