ORGANIZATION: SoulPhamm Inc
We are looking for individuals with experience in film-making to help us lay the foundation for a docu-series that follows the inaugural years of SoulPhamm, a sports and arts organization that serves young people in New Jersey and New York City. At this writing, we are planning for a group to help us brainstorm how we can achieve this: (a) timing, (b) process, etc., so a sense of humor and the ability to "think big" is important. We are thinking about a "YouTube" or "social media" series, and have also garnered the interest of others who might be able/willing to put the series on Roku or other streaming apps. While this is a volunteer position, those who labor on this film will receive acknowledgement/credit for their work and will certainly be able to use this for their own portfolios. Should the project "take off" (whatever that might mean), the team will take the ride with us - wherever it may lead.
When you reach out, please share what experience/knowledge you have of filmmaking. Our goal is to set a the first brainstorm session in August via Zoom.

Our vision is to promote virtue, equity, unity, justice, faith, charity and a sense of common purpose and brotherhood among all people with an emphasis on the development and advancement of young people through education, athletics, service and the arts.
SoulPhamm was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of New Jersey on June 25, 2021 and is the "birth-child" of Coach Luis ("Lou") and Dr. Leisa Herrera ("Mz. Doc"). The organization exists to provide training to young people in a variety of sports and performing arts and unique opportunities to display those talents through competition and performance. By integrating mentoring, life skills, opportunities for community service and academic enrichment to the athletic/artistic program, we help make our scholar-athletes as well-rounded as possible, capable of meeting and overcoming any challenges they are faced with. Although Coach Lou passed away suddenly in January 2021, the official launch of SoulPhamm was held on June 26, 2021, which coincided with his birthday weekend. SoulPhamm will recognize its own founding, as well as the achievements of our young people every year on the fourth Saturday of June, as a tribute to the life and legacy of Coach Lou.
