Local Program Coordinator (LPC) Assistants- Kalispell

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics Montana

Sport is a powerful force. It can shift the focus from disability to ability, from isolation to involvement. You can help change lives through sports.

Join us today by becoming an Assistant Local Program Coordinator (LPC) for a community adult-based team in Kalispell!

We are looking to recruit volunteers to support our amazing Local Program Coordinators (LPC)! The LPC is the "athletic director" of the sports programming for a specific team!

The Assistant LPC would work closely with the head LPC and support them in roles/tasks that need to be accomplished in a join effort. We are all about team work here!

The LPC ensures that volunteers and athletes are prepared to participate in year-round local and state competitions and events. Depending on the size of the team, an LPC can manage a team alone or with the help of an Assistant LPC to provide general oversight for all team operations. The Assistant LPC would support the LPC with their tasks/duties!

Primary Duties include:
-create and maintain a healthy team atmosphere
-recruit new athletes to participate
-recruit volunteers and coaches to help with your team
-remain organized with the necessary paperwork
-assist the team with local fundraising opportunities.

Training and support are readily available! Contact Jacquie Simmons for more information at jsimmons@somt.org!
