Event DetailsPowell Butte is a 611 acre nature park managed by Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) in SE Portland. The park has been open since 1990 to the community for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park's meadow and forest habitat are home to a variety of native plants, fungi, and animals.
What are we doing, exactly? We will be removing Japanese hedge-parsley, an introduced forb species that can outcompete local species. We will also be removing trash that we come across along the trail. We may also pull ivy depending on time.
