Kaiser Permanente is committed to improving the total health of our patients and the community.
In Oncology Infusion in Portland, OR, volunteers join a team of nurses who are committed to provide best patient care and best experience for oncology patients. The volunteers will have the opportunity to be part of the caring experience that Oncology Infusion (chemotherapy) seeks to provide for patients. Volunteers will:
- Greet and welcome, members, visitors, and staff to foster inclusive, welcoming environment.
- Restock clinic supplies per request of nursing staff
- Disinfect and re-set infusion chairs between patient visits
- Socialize and offer comfort items to patients during treatment
- Communicate any patients needs and alert nursing staff to urgent needs
- Observe a team of top notch nurses in action

- Orientation or Training
- This commitment is once a week, Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm. We ask volunteers to be able to make a minimum commitment of 6 months.
- This volunteer position takes place in a healthcare facility. All volunteer receive education on current COVID-19 safety policies and practices.
