ORGANIZATION: Choice Nation Academy

We are looking for energetic and passionate tutors with a sense of humor and warmth, and love working with children, their families as well as connecting easily with students, teachers, and parents.

Potential tutors would work with students 1st-12th grade. The role would consist of:

1. supporting students to make informed academic (Reading/History) and life decisions problem-solving;

2. meet with students once a week to check progress;

3. travel to site location: 200 Greens Rd, Houston, TX 77067 or 9603 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77016

4. report to administrator with progress reports;

5. adhere to the safety and professional guidelines of the organization and

6. dedicate 4-12 hours monthly (at least 2 hours weekly) Monday-Thursday (flexibility on days)

7. commit to the time frame of one of the programs listed: Summer (June - August) or Fall (September - December) or Spring (January - May). We know life happens, so flexibility is key to being successful in this role.

Description

As a community school, we offer transformative comprehensive leadership wellness programs that impact the 8 components of wellness. Our services include an onsite homeschool academy (1st-12th), a preschool academy (PK2-PK5), and afterschool leadership academy. Each opportunity develop skills to increase problem solving and processing through enriched learning opportunities in core academics, mentorship, community outreach, financial literacy, health & wellness, entrepreneurship and more.
