The Atlanta office of ProMedica Heartland Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to support our agency through providing friendly visits, vigil visits, or administrative assistance. We welcome Bilingual individuals to volunteer with our team in support of the terminally ill patients and families we serve!
- Friendly visitor volunteers provide companionship for terminally ill patients, respite support for caregivers, and/or assist with errands or other duties to provide relief to the families we serve.
- Vigil visitor volunteers provide a supportive presence for the expected final hours of living for patients and their support systems.
- Administrative volunteers perform duties to benefit patients and their families within the office setting such as providing support in organizing, filing, answering calls, and clerical tasks.
Our office serves the following counties and we welcome compassionate volunteers in the following areas: Fulton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, Fayette County, Clayton County, Henry County, Rockdale County, Newton County, and Walton County.

Hospice volunteers are oriented to the hospice program as well as the hospice philosophy and goals of caring to ensure that they have the skills needed to assist patients and their families. Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical compassionate help whether it is running errands, staying with the patient so family members can take a break, reading to a patient, or holding someone’s hand.
