The Providence Portland Medical Center Gift Shop is staffed nearly 100% by volunteers, with all proceeds going to support our 501(c) charitable foundations. Located in our Main Lobby, the shop offers a wonderful array of gift items, cards and other sundries to our visitors, patients and staff.
Primarily, volunteers will be ringing sales and helping customers in the gift shop, either solo or with a partner. You’ll have a wide variety of customers, so a friendly, helpful demeanor is a must. Prior experience with cash registers is preferred, but not required.
Other duties may include:- Answering phones and fulfilling phone orders.
- Opening or closing procedures, depending on shift.
- Maintaining the gift shop by organizing shelves and coolers.
