The Atlanta office of ProMedica Heartland Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to support our agency through providing clerical and administrative assistance.

The hospice administrative volunteer performs duties to benefit patients and their families within the office setting. This role involves tasks such as filing, organizing, creating informational packets, and/or answering phone calls or other office assistance tasks.

This volunteer role offers flexible hours Monday through Friday and we will be happy to work with your schedule. If you have previous office or clerical experience or have an interest in gaining new experience this will be an excellent opportunity for you.

Our office serves the following counties and we welcome compassionate volunteers in the following areas: Fulton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, Fayette County, Clayton County, Henry County, Rockdale County, Newton County, and Walton County.

All interested Church Groups, Senior Centers, Retirees, Students, and other groups are WELCOME!!!

Description

ProMedica Hospice is dedicated to providing patients with care wherever they consider home. Whether care is desired in the home a patient has lived in for years, a skilled nursing center or an assisted living facility, we tailor our caregiving to fit the patient's and family's unique needs. Heartland's caregivers enrich our patients' lives and provide support by developing individualized care plans, setting goals, encouraging personal choices, working together in caregiving decisions and supporting meaningful experiences. Our caregivers help manage pain and symptoms, enabling patients to live life as fully and comfortably as possible. Social workers and spiritual counselors create a comforting environment in which patients and families are able to share their thoughts, hopes and concerns. And special bereavement programs provide emotional support to patients and families who need help coping.
