I’RAISE Boys & Girls International Corporation is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization founded by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shanequa Moore in 2012. The organization was incorporated in 2013. And, in 2014 it became a Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization in New York City.

Since 2012, I’RAISE has used its efforts to improve socio-emotional well-being and educational outcomes of youths ages 4 - 21 years old by providing holistic programs. And, keeps striving to improve and develop under-resourced communities and schools who help youth become successful in life. And, its mission has been to raise, empower, and inspire minority youth to experience success and progress in all areas of their lives and to become successful leaders through raising and increasing self-esteem and self-worth.

Volunteer Project Description Description:

For the Summer of 2022, I’RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation is working on creating a competitive employee benefit package that would serve our employees across different states in the United States, and help save money for our employee and the organization. We hope to create an ideal work environment and increase retention by being able to provide health insurance benefits to our employees. We are looking for professional volunteers who could help us come up with a benefit package that includes medical, dental benefits, and employee perks.

Team: ProfessionalVolunteers would work together with a team of Human Resources, Finance/Accountant, and Executives, and together they will:

  • Identify the organization’s benefits objectives and budget
  • Create a budget to determine the contribution needed
  • Conduct a needs assessment and cost-analysis per benefit
  • Analyze total compensation (all benefits that the organization offers which is direct/indirect/indirect paid benefits)
  • Determine the best benefits selection and design based on the needs of the employees
  • Research data on employee demographics
  • Research useful benefit administration software
  • Determine what benefits are required by law
  • Determine which benefits to include in the package or can be offered to the employees and formulate a benefits plan program
  • Complex evaluations an employer will make in determining whether to add, change or eliminate benefits offerings.
  • Be creative, dynamic, and flexible with employee benefit
  • Effective communication plans; Finalize benefit plans and help HR prepare the rollout plan; creating awareness and providing a high level of understanding of the benefits offered
  • Develop a periodic evaluation process to determine effectiveness of benefits

  • Strong collaborative mindset (across teams and functions)
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Researching skills
  • Knowledge of Information Technology and software delivery lifecycle
  • Knowledge of M-Suite and G-Suite

Deliverances: To create our own sustainable version of an inclusive and dynamic employee benefits package that speaks to our employee base while maintaining our company’s budget.
