Image_202205111506

Wands are received from people across the country and even around the world. When they arrive, they must be sorted to remove unusable (dirty/frayed) wands and specialty wands to use in art. The rest are provided to Wildlife Caregivers to help in their work to save injured and orphaned wild animals. Come by Sunday May 15th or Saturday May 21st from 11am-2pm to lend a hand!

About WANDS FOR WILDLIFE

Location:

PO BOX 1211, SKYLAND, NC 28776, US

Mission Statement

Wands for Wildlife inspires people to help wildlife and the environment through re-purposing discarded mascara wands for use in wildlife care, art and education.

Description

The organization engages people in ways to support wildlife caregivers and encourages greater mindfulness of the impact from human activities, including the use of plastics, on the environment. While we do not work directly with the animals, our programs provide wands and support to help wildlife partners and caregivers in the treatment and care of wild animals.
