General Description:

For over 45 years ABCD has offered summer jobs to youth aged 14-21 throughout the City of Boston. SummerWorks provides over 5,000 Boston youth with a summer job at 100+ partner worksites throughout the city each summer, and career mentoring throughout their experience. Mock Interviewers will assist ABCD in their goal to prepare SummerWorks youth for their careers by conducting mock interviews and providing feedback.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ~30 minute virtual mock interviews with youth participants with the support of SummerWorks staff
  • Provide feedback to youth about the quality of their interview and areas needing improvement
  • Support youth by providing information on life skills, career opportunities and/or post-secondary education and training opportunities

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability and desire to work with youth between the ages of 14 and 21
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to kindly provide constructive feedback
  • Previous experience conducting interviews strongly preferred
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Working professionals or current enrollment in college strongly preferred

Length of Commitment:

Minimum of 2 hours blocks.

Schedule (including day and time if applicable):

Monday - Friday, August 1 st-August 5 th from 10am-12pm OR 3-5pm.
