Join Keep Pensacola Beautiful at Big Lagoon State Park for our 2022 Paddle Pickup, a guided kayak/canoe canal cleanup to celebrate World Oceans month! The area of the state park that will be cleaned is inaccessible without self-powered small vessels, and debris there is difficult to remove. Dedicated staff and volunteers have been working hard to restore the waterways there and KPB wants to help!

There are 2 canoes, 3 single and 3 tandem kayaks available for volunteer use. These will be reserved on a first-registered, first-served basis. Volunteers with their own kayaks or canoes are highly encouraged to sign up and notate this in the comments section. We will be taking a maximum of 35 volunteers out, but other sign ups are still encouraged as they will go on a waitlist in case of cancellations. Please note that while it will be guided by the Park Services Specialist at Big Lagoon, there will be no lifeguard present for this event.
