Help us to find and apply for grants so we can turn a generous world into a resilient one.
We are seeking grants to fund the development and testing of our new immersive community disaster training. We are aiming for grants in the $5K-$100K range, focusing on corporate and community-based funders with interests in community resilience and/or wildfire preparedness, possibly targeting one or more of our pilot communities.
We want to create a world where everyone is ready to help themselves and the people around them in a community crisis. So we are developing a new approach to disaster training where people practice improvising, discover what they need, and find out what they are capable of.
See how it works: https://youtu.be/opvonYJ0_jk
But we need your help to make it happen. We need to fund the development and testing of a new live-action training experience that will help communities prepare for wildfire.

Mission Statement
We envision a world where every community crisis is met with people who act, improvise and overcome together. We design live community learning experiences that spread the confidence, skills and mindsets needed. Because crisis doesn’t wait for you to be prepared.
Description
We make the world more socially resilient by helping ordinary people learn to improvise and work with strangers in a crisis. Our goals are to
- Create learning experiences that community organizations can deliver to take local leadership and collective action from none to good-enough.
- Convert research results into effective coaching and learning experiences that will accomplish our mission and realize our vision.
- Support spontaneous leaders who are working to organize collective action with their micro-communities.
