College Track is a comprehensive college completion program that equips students confronting systemic barriers to earn a bachelor's degree and a life of opportunity, choice, and power. From ninth grade through college graduation, our 10-year program removes the academic, financial, and social-emotional barriers that keep first-generation students from low-income communities from completing college and thriving in the workforce. Today, College Track serves more than 4,300 students and alumni across 12 communities in California, Colorado, Louisiana, and the D.C. Metro Area, with 750+ alumni leading a movement to democratize potential.
College Track students graduate from college at a rate that is more than double the national average for first-generation students from low-income communities. Six months out of college, 79% of College Track alumni are employed. For those 30 and over, 92% report earnings greater than their parents with wages on par with the national average. By helping our students maximize the value of their four-year college degree, which includes minimizing student loan debt, securing internships, and limiting the need to work while in college--we prepare them to succeed in the 21st century economy.
Volunteer College Admissions Advisors have a critical role in helping our students matriculate to colleges where they are most likely to thrive. They provide one-on-one support to students completing admissions and financial aid tasks like drafting personal statements, completing college and scholarship applications, submitting the FAFSA or CADAA, etc. Specific responsibilities will differ depending on the student’s situation and the Advisor’s relevant expertise.

Mission Statement
At College Track, we firmly believe that a bachelor’s degree remains the best predictor of economic mobility, civic engagement, lifelong wellness, and self-agency. By serving students from low-income communities who will become the first in their family to graduate from college, we fulfill the promise of higher education for generations to come. Our work is rooted at the intersection of educational equity and racial justice, setting the stage for our students to thrive in careers where people of color have been historically underrepresented.
