About Fund for Reparations NOW!

Location:

Virtual, Los Angeles, CA 90014, US

Mission Statement

The Fund for Reparations NOW! (FFRN!) is an intergenerational community of white people working in solidarity with the National African American Reparations Commission (NAARC). Following NAARC’s Black leadership, FFRN! is dedicated to the immediate implementation of the 10-Point Plan, modeling now what reparations will look like when they are formally granted from the federal government. White reparationists can participate in our online reparations platform by signing a Statement of Apology, making their reparations contribution, and accessing resources aimed at building a lifelong anti-racist practice. The ultimate goal of this work is to see formal reparations for African Americans from the U.S. government within our lifetimes. In the meantime, there is the Fund for Reparations NOW!

Description

Currently, FFRN! is focused on reparations projects that fall within Point 9 of NAARC's 10-Point Reparations Plan: Preserving Black Sacred Sites and Monuments. As of May 2022, our all-volunteer org has made over $185k in reparations contributions, built an online community of over 15k followers, and is actively building a new antiracist culture of collective liberation, centered on reparations.
