Trail Work Crew
Saturday June 4th, 2022
9AM-Noon
Meet at: Locust Grove Parking Lot off Glen Ave in Millburn.
(Best parking is across the street in the commuter lot near the Millburn library.)

Wait, a Saturday!!! Yes, as part of National Trails Day (A Day of Service for Hometown Trails and the People Who Love Them), we will be holding our monthly trail work crew meetup on Saturday the 4th.

The group will be working on -- and hopefully finishing up -- the swampy trail extension up near the Crest Drive loop. This project was begun in April and consists of 100+ feet of new trail. As the area is exposed to direct sunlight, to inhibit weed growth, we are building a trail bed with a weed-suppressing fabric covered by a mixture of stone and sand.

Trail work can be physically challenging. Participants must be 15+ years. Participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should plan on bringing gloves, though backup gloves will be available. Tools, water, and a snack will be provided. (Registration is not required)

Following CDC guidelines, vaccinated people need not follow any mask guidelines:

Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
