Save the Date!

Join us for our monthly cleaning "Block Party". Each month, on the last Saturday of the month, we choose one area in the neighborhood and focus on getting it spruced up! From 9am - noon.
When you join us for our monthly "block parties", we’ll be painting out graffiti, picking up trash, reporting issues through the Get it Done app, and when appropriate planting and pruning plants.

We’ll provide water, coffee, donuts, paint, grabbers, gloves, brooms, and trash bags. When you join us, be sure to bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (or paint stained), gloves, and a hat.

About Hillcrest Business Association

1601 University Ave, SAN DIEGO, CA 92103, US

Mission Statement

The HBA represents over 1,300 businesses acting as a liaison between the business community and the city, and encourages economic development for the Hillcrest area through events and promotions. The Business Association also employs private security patrols in the core of our neighborhood, maintains cleanliness on the streets and keeps the Hillcrest Sign shining bright.

The Hillcrest Association was established in 1921, making it the oldest business association in San Diego. The Hillcrest Business Improvement District was created in 1984.

A Business Improvement District (BID) works to unify the businesses within a particularly district to work toward a common goal of economically revitalizing their business district. This is typically done through marketing programs, civic beautification projects, commercial recruitment, and parking and transportation improvements. There are 17 business districts in San Diego, each with similar goals to support and develop their communities. For more information on the San Diego BIDS, visit .
