Join the National MS Society by volunteering at our amazing MS fundraiser on Sunday, May 22nd 2022, at our Annual Evening of Wines event to fund important research and services for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, both locally and nationally.

Each spring, over 300 wine enthusiasts come together to eat, drink and mingle at Evening of Wines’. Upon arrival at the Country Club of Birmingham, guests have an opportunity to sample from an assortment of aperitif wines and passed hors d'oeuvres. Guests are invited to participate in a silent auction that features fine wines, large format bottles, vacation packages, restaurant experiences, and much more.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Event Registration - 4:30pm to 9:30pm - Checking guests in, assigning bidder numbers and answering general event questions.
  • Silent Auction Team - 4:30pm to 9:30pm - Set up auction items, assist guests in bidding process, pack up items, process winning bids, and matching items with winners

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers key fundraising activities such as The MS150 Bike Ride, MS Walk and Stand Against MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
