SVSF

SVSF is currently working with DESC to provide tutoring to some city of Detroit employees in a program called Skills for Life.

We have about 20 students who are coming to our Main Campus (16865 Burt Rd., Detroit MI 48219) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

And we have around 30 students who we meet with at Matrix Human Service on the Eastside (13560 E McNichols Rd, Detroit, MI 48205) on Thursdays and Fridays.

Some of these students are working towards their GED and others need refreshers to pass tests to advance at work. So, math help is greatly needed and language arts assistance.

Volunteers must have a vaccination card showing a recent booster.

The ideal volunteer-tutor shifts are 9 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 4 PM.
BUT, I will take your help even if you could only do like 2 hours in either time frame.

You can find our Volunteer Application online here-
