Volunteer as a Big Brother to Griffin: a 12-year-old seeking a supportive role model near Belmont. Griffin enjoys spending time in nature, walking outdoors, and digging for rocks. Some activities that he would be excited to share with his Big are rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and visiting botanical gardens. The ideal match would be an active Jewish adult (ages 21+) who can help Griffin practice communicating and learning social norms. Volunteers from all religions, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds are welcome!
Bigs commit to meeting with their Littles twice/month for at least a year; training is provided. Matches receive support from social workers with experience working with children and families. Apply now (www.jbbbs.org/volunteer), or email tania@jbbbs.org with any questions!
