We kindly request your help as a volunteer for our June 4 th, 2022 benefit for Room to Read. Our goal is to host 100 people and entertain them with food, drinks and golfing and gaming on Full Swing Golf simulations systems where we can educate and encourage guests to Step Up for Global Literacy and Gender Equality in Education.

Educating girls is widely acknowledged as the most powerful and effective way to address global poverty. Girls who finish secondary school earn more money, have smaller, healthier families, and are more likely to educate their own children - breaking the cycle of illiteracy within their families. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, girls in low-income communities faced many challenges to completing their education. We now face a global crisis, disproportionately affecting the world's most vulnerable children, particularly girls, as learning continues to be disrupted at schools.

We need help checking people in & out as well as at one of the four Simulation Stations, food areas, etc. in the beautiful indoor warehouse style office space of Full Swing Golf in Carlsbad.

Please let us know if you'd like to Step UP and volunteer for the evening. All proceeds will go directly to Room to Read to support their programs.

Who is Room to Read?

Of course, not everyone has equal access to reading. That’s why we at Room to Read have the bold goal of eliminating illiteracy and gender inequality in education. Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children(r), Room to Read is creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. We are achieving this goal by helping children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls as they build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions. We collaborate with governments and other partner organizations to deliver positive outcomes for children at scale. Room to Read has benefited more than 32 million children and has worked in 21 countries and in more than 49,000 communities, with additional support through remote solutions that facilitate learning beyond the classroom. Room to Read aims to reach 40 million children by 2025. Learn more at www.roomtoread.org

Thank you for your kind consideration.
