About the role: FURNITURE PAINTERS are key contributors to The Shed at the ReStore, lending their skills to this unique vintage-style store-within-the-ReStore. All profits from The Shed go toward Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope.
Furniture Painters:
- Prepare and paint various furniture that’s donated, from small end tables to large hutches
- Are teachable, especially if you don’t current paint and are eager to learn
We are looking for Furniture Painters who:
- Enjoy painting
- Have attention to detail
- Flexible and able to hustle in a fast-paced environment
Time Commitment: We are flexible and grateful for any time and support you are able to provide for The Shed. Ideally you’re able to take items home to paint, but there are a few 3-hour shifts available to paint at the ReStore.
Current shifts for painting at the ReStore:
- Monday or Wednesday mornings (9 am - noon)
- Tuesday afternoons (1-4 pm)
Interested in helping us? Contact Jenelle Ramsey, The Shed Manager, at JRamsey@HabitatStore.org, or 970-488-2706 to set up an interview. Training is provided.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God's love into action, Fort Collins Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Description
Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities. Families go through an application process to be selected and qualify by income, ability to pay a mortgage, residency, and willingness to partner. Once selected, families complete sweat equity by attending educational classes about homeownership and by building their home onsite alongside staff and volunteers.
The ReStore is another component of the organization. It serves as a fundraising enterprise to support Habitat' mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to local families. The ReStore operates as a thrift store that accepts donations from the community and sells them back at a lower cost.
