Creator/Maker/Upcycler at The Shed at ReStore!
ORGANIZATION: Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity
Please visit the new page to apply.

About the role: CREATOR/MAKER/UPCYCLERS are key contributors to The Shed at the ReStore, lending their skills of painting, building, or sewing to create quality products to sell in this unique vintage-style store-within-the-ReStore. All profits from The Shed go towards Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope.
Creators/Makers/Upcyclers create these types of products:
- Attractive and useful furniture
- Useful wood items (shelves, desks, trays, etc.)
- Attractive and useful sewn items (facemasks, pillows, etc.)
- The sky’s the limit as long as it’s profitable!
We are looking for Creators/Makers/Upcyclers who:
- Are self-starting individuals who enjoy working independently
- Have experience and skill making quality, sellable products
- Are available on a regular basis
Time Commitment: We are flexible and grateful for any time and support you are able to provide for The Shed. A monthly commitment is ideal, but if you have different availability let us know and we can talk about what will work best for you! Habitat will provide the materials. Instructions and timeframes. You provide the tools (paintbrushes, saws and hammers, or sewing machine) and the time making products in the safety of your home.
Interested in helping us? Contact Jenelle Ramsey, The Shed Manager, at JRamsey@HabitatStore.org, or 970-488-2706 to set up an interview. Please share 3-4 photos of your current work.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God's love into action, Fort Collins Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Description
Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities. Families go through an application process to be selected and qualify by income, ability to pay a mortgage, residency, and willingness to partner. Once selected, families complete sweat equity by attending educational classes about homeownership and by building their home onsite alongside staff and volunteers.
The ReStore is another component of the organization. It serves as a fundraising enterprise to support Habitat' mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to local families. The ReStore operates as a thrift store that accepts donations from the community and sells them back at a lower cost.
