The mission of Casa de Amparo is to support those affected by and at risk of child abuse and neglect, through a range of programs and services that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships.
Casa de Amparo is seeking a friendly individual who is comfortable working in a faced paced environment. The RECEPTIONIST POSITION serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies agency personnel of visitor arrival; maintains safety, cleanliness and telecommunications system. MAJOR TASKS:
- Welcomes participants and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Directs visitors by maintaining staff directories; giving instructions.
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook.
- Maintains telecommunication system by directing, fielding and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains safe and clean reception and office areas
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Comply with all volunteer/intern requirements, including but not limited to finger printing, TB test, and wearing badge at all times, submit a monthly time sheet to the program coordinator.

Description
Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo (Home of Protection ) is recognized as a leader in treating and preventing child abuse and neglect in San Diego County and beyond, with locations in Oceanside and San Marcos. The non-profit organization annually serves over 1,000 Casa Kids, from prenatal to 25 years old, as well as over 900 families, through six integrated programs that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships. These programs include Residential Services , Counseling Services , Family Visitation , Hayward Child Development Center , New Directions , and Young Parent Network . Casa de Amparo is the San Diego Chargers Courage House, part of a national network of NFL teams and local charities dedicated to the prevention of child abuse.
