About Cornerstone of Hope

Location:

Mission Statement

Cornerstone of Hope is dedicated to providing support, education, and hope for the grieving. Guided by Christian values of compassion and service, we welcome and serve all seeking support.

Description

On May 15, 2000, Mark and Christi Tripodi experienced a life-changing event that will never be forgotten. Their three year old son, Bobby, died suddenly from an infection caused by bacterial meningitis. Although a book could be written about the details leading to his death, the endless night in the hospital, and the week of the funeral, there is a different story to tell -- one of vocation, purpose, meaning, and hope.

Shortly after Bobby's death, Mark and Christi sought support for themselves and their remaining children at a monthly support group. Although they had a tremendous support system from their families, it wasn't enough. They desperately needed to find meaning in their grief, and through much prayer, discernment, organization, and community forums, Cornerstone of Hope was founded.

Cornerstone of Hope is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide support, education, and hope for the grieving. Cornerstone of Hope offers individual and family counseling, support groups for children, teens, and adults, summer camps, memorial services, and a variety of family workshops all geared toward turning "tragedy into triumph."

The need for volunteers has been tremendous, as Cornerstone of Hope has served over 40,000 individuals since October of 2003. We need volunteers of all ages, to help in all aspects of the agency.
