LifeSpan's Meals on Wheels program provides healthy meals and wellness checks to over 800 participating older adults in Allegheny County. Volunteers are needed during times of staffing shortages to help package meals and partner with one of our delivery drivers, in an agency vehicle, on assigned route delivering frozen, pre-packaged meals, fruits and milk to homebound and needy older adults in Allegheny County. Meals are packaged out of one of our 4 kitchens located at Homestead, Clairton, Knoxville and Imperial. Would follow assigned route, delivering meal and physically viewing participant to make sure they are ok. When all meals are delivered on route, you are done for the day (often routes are finished earlier than 4:00 pm). Masks required.

Will be paired with a driver and deliver meals to participants on assigned route. When all meals delivered, you are done for the day.

Programs and services include: Meals on Wheels, Social Services (Caregiver Support Program, Care Management, and Protective Services). We also operate several Senior Community Resources Centers.
