ORGANIZATION: Chrysalis Center

Chrysalis Logo

Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment. Our philosophy is that a steady job is the single most important step in a person’s transition out of poverty and onto a pathway to long-term self-sufficiency. Offering a hand up, rather than a hand out, Chrysalis empowers our clients to complete a self-directed job search.

YOU can make a real difference in the lives of the men and women in the Inland Empire who are willing, ready, and able to become self-sufficient through employment.

Chrysalis volunteers play an integral role in empowering clients to build specific skills related to the job search process and instilling the self-esteem needed to succeed beyond the interview. There are many ways that volunteers help to support our programs, including:

  • Online Job Applications
  • Cover Letters
  • One-on-one resume preparation
  • One-on-one practice interviews
  • Training is provided for both

Volunteers are currently needed Monday - Thursday during the hours of 8 am-4 pm or Friday from 8am -12pm. We have weekly and bi-weekly opportunities available. Please note, you must be 18 or over to volunteer.

Are you ready to help change the lives of our clients? If so, head on over to our website and submit an application to volunteer: https://changelives.org/volunteer/
