Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.
We are seeking volunteers who are highly motivated by Chrysalis’ mission and desire to improve the social and economic fabric of our community.
Our volunteer opportunity includes working one-on-one with clients by assisting in building resumes and cover letters, seeking and applying for job postings online, and conducting practice mock interviews.
Are you fluent in Spanish? Please consider joining our team of volunteers and assisting our Spanish speaking clients!
This is an in-person ONLY volunteer opportunity!
Time commitment is 6 months minimum with availability to provide services at least 1 hour minimum every other week (weekly is also an option).
Our schedule is Monday - Thursday from 8:00AM - 4:00PM; Friday from 8:00AM - 12:00PM

To create a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to prepare for, find, and retain employment.
Description
Our Volunteers are essential to this mission, and work directly with clients to help them gain employment. You can:
Facilitate classes (job search readiness courses)
Perform One-on-one resume building, interview practice and online applications
Provide Job search assistance
Sort donation items
We seek volunteers with excellent communication skills who want to make an impact in their local community. You will be directly involved in helping people enter the working world and regain their confidence, pride and stability.
Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am -12pm. Training is provided, and we ask for a 6 month commitment. Opportunities are available in the San Fernando Valley, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Anaheim and the Inland Empire.
