We are looking volunteers to help out with Lincoln Park Zoo's Run for the Zoo on Sunday, June 5! This is the first in-person Run for the Zoo since 2019. We will have thousands of race participants running either a 5k or 10k to support the zoo and the 800+ animals that live here. We are looking for energetic folks to volunteer as Course Marshals. Volunteer Course Marshals are placed along the run/walk routes to direct (and encourage runners). You'll help to make sure the runners are being safe and running the correct way along the course by directing them and holding up signs. Course Marshals must be energetic! All course marshal and race day volunteers will receive a Run for the Zoo t-shirt to keep, coffee and light refreshments.

Volunteers for this role must be 18+ although other roles can accept 14+ volunteers that are accompanied by an adult. Please click the link below to sign up for Course Marshal. You will see other roles available for sign up as well.

*All volunteers must be able to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19.*

You will see a summary of each volunteer role. You'll check the "Sign Up" box next to your shift of choice and fill in your name and email to sign up for the shift. Please use the comment section to add your t-shirt size (adult unisex sizes). You should receive a confirmation email from SignUpGenius as soon as you sign up. If you don't see it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. You'll be able to return to the link anytime to edit your shift, delete or change volunteer names, or cancel your shift if you need to do so.
