It may be spring now, but Back-to-School will be here soon!
Help us fill backpacks with basic supplies for students throughout the county. Volunteers will work assembly line style to complete thousands of BTS backpacks!
One or two volunteers will need to be in charge of keeping track of the count as we have specific numbers for each school we need to achieve. There are multiple dates available throughout May and June. Hours are 9-12, but we can work with your schedule if needed.
Masks are no longer mandatory for volunteering. We will provide hand sanitizer.
Email hanna@teacherstreasures.org with any questions.
All volunteering will take place at 1800 East 10th Street. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dusty. We have water and snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own.
This project is appropriate for Middle-School aged students and up. Any volunteer under 16 needs to volunteer with an adult.
Every teacher who volunteers for a shift will earn an extra shopping trip for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are not a teacher, but would like to volunteer on a teacher's behalf, you can earn a shopping trip for the teacher in your life!

Mission Statement
Teachers' Treasures obtains and distributes school supplies to teachers of classrooms and students in need.
Description
Every day at public, charter, private, and parochial schools located throughout Marion County, children of all ages attend class without the most basic supplies they need to get a good education. Dedicated teachers are often willing to pay for these much needed supplies out of their own pockets to make sure the kids in their classrooms have the necessary tools to learn.
Teachers' Treasures, in partnership with local businesses, charitable foundations, neighborhood organizations and individual contributors, helps fill this need by operating a volunteer based "Free Store for Teachers." Donated educational supplies and other materials are distributed via this unique conduit to teachers for the benefit of their students.
Teachers' Treasures offers a variety of group volunteer activities that can be tailored to your group or organization. Please contact Hanna Yaeger-Busch at hanna@teacherstreasures.org or call 317-264-1758 for more information.
Teachers who volunteer 2 or more hours can earn extra shopping passes. Teachers who are normally ineligible to shop can also volunteer to earn opportunities to shop.
