Recruiting Organization: STEM Montessori Academy of Canada

The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Recruitment Team Member to join our HR Team! You will be working closely with the Recruitment Team Lead and the rest of the HR Team to identify hiring needs, write job descriptions, conduct interviews, and attend virtual hiring events. The STEM Montessori Academy of Canada is a federally registered not for profit regional science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school and is available nationwide to all children. SMAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)

Hours:

3-6 month commitment. 10 hours a month.

Location:Virtual

Duties & Responsibilities:


●Screening resumes

●Assessing applicants knowledge/skills/experience to best suit open positions

●Conducting virtual interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions

●COmpleting relevant paperwork and documentation

●Providing recruitment reports to Team Managers

●Attend weekly team meetings (virtually)

Requirements:

●Ability to think critically and problem solve

●Ability to work alone and in a team environment

●Basic technical knowledge (Slack, Excel, Docs, etc.)

●Must be able to attend weekly virtual team meetings

●Experience with HR Coordinating or Full Cycle Recruitment would be an asset
