The San Diego River Park Foundation is excited to announce the revival of Riverfest, a family-friendly run and activities that celebrate the preservation of the San Diego River. Proceeds go towards supporting and caring for the wildlife, habitat and further research along the San Diego River.

  • Setting up the event (tents, tables, barricades, signage)
  • Tearing down the event (tents, tables, barricades, signage)

We are offering a FREE 5K or 1K race ticket to anyone who is volunteering to help us on this day.

Mission Statement

The San Diego River Park Foundation is dedicated to fostering stewardship and appreciation of the region’s namesake waterway. In order to protect and enhance the San Diego River as a place for recreation, habitat, and nature discovery, we are dedicated to engaging people to be stewards of the River and working towards the vision of a 52 mile, river-long system of parks, open spaces, and community places.

Description

We organize many different volunteer stewardship activities each month. River Cleanups, native plant gardening, habitat restoration, volunteer leadership, water quality testing, outreach and education, special event committees, technical committees and more.
