Aurora Players, an acclaimed, not-for-profit, community theater with its beginnings in 1934, is looking for new volunteers to help keep us running smoothly and help with our four productions each year. Please join us at our open house on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 11am-1:00pm, to get an inside look at the many opportunities available, from behind-the-scenes roles like building sets, locating props and creating costumes, to front-of-house duties such as ushering and selling tickets. Tours will be provided along with refreshments.

With no paid staff, volunteers are the sole engine driving our continued success and we train and mentor new volunteers until they are comfortable in their role. No prior experience in theatre is necessary! More information about opportunities can be found at www.auroraplayers.org under the "Get Involved" tab.

Now is a great time to start a new volunteer experience. You'll meet great people, make new friends and learn something new, all in support of bringing memorable, affordable theatre experiences to the Western New York community. All are welcome!

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to create interest in, and to foster enthusiasm for, the study and execution of the dramatic arts; to provide a medium of expressions for those who have a natural love for theater in any of its phases; and to be the means of bringing together in organized activities all those whose interests center in drama and the performing arts.

Description

Aurora Players of East Aurora, N.Y. held its first performance back in 1935. Since that time, we have taken great pride in offering high-quality community theatre to the public at an affordable price. We have a legacy of relying almost 100% on the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers share a love for theatre and enjoy being part of bringing it to life by offering their time and talent. They also learn new skills and make lifelong friends along the way. Our charming 200 seat theatre has put on award-winning musicals and plays that are regularly packed with enthusiastic audiences. We depend on volunteers for every aspect of producing shows, assisting audience members, caring for our historic theater and helping with business and administrative aspects. Come join the fun and excitement of live theatre!
